Leeds United midfielder Neil Kilkenny set to leave

Neil Kilkenny
Kilkenny joined Leeds from Birmingham City in 2008

Leeds United expect out-of-contract midfielder Neil Kilkenny to leave the club in the summer.

The 25-year-old Australia international has failed to respond to the offer of a new contract at Elland Road.

Manager Simon Grayson told the club website: "This is another issue we wanted resolving as we have to prepare for next season.

"I'm keen to move on so we can plan accordingly in terms of what we have and what we need."

Kilkenny, who is currently on international duty, has made 144 appearances for Leeds since being signed by Dennis Wise in January 2008.

The Australian's failure to respond to his offer follows the news on Thursday that Leeds expect fellow midfielder Bradley Johnson to leave after he turned down a new deal.
