Leeds look to extend Gradel loan

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson will try and extend the loan deal of Leicester City winger Max Gradel.

Gradel has impressed since arriving at Elland Road last month and played the last game of his spell in Tuesday night's 3-1 win over Grimsby.

"I'll speak to Nigel (Pearson) in the next few days and hopefully try and resolve the issue," Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds.

"If he has to go back we'll wish him well, but hopefully he can stay."

Grayson added: "We've given him an opportunity to play first-team football.

"There are limited opportunities at Leicester which is why he was allowed to come here in the first place."

Gradel has scored one goal in five appearances for the club.
