Beckford has been Leeds' top scorer for the last two seasons
Leeds United have confirmed they have rejected approaches for transfer-listed striker Jermaine Beckford.
The player's agent Nick Rubery believed two offers had been lodged and the club have told BBC Radio Leeds that Championship teams have shown interest.
Rubery claims troubled Newcastle United are an option for the 25-year-old.
"It wouldn't be true to say Newcastle have missed out on Jermaine because of what is going on there," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"There has been interest from other clubs and I would anticipate something happening soon, maybe in the next couple of weeks when the transfer market begins to start hotting up.
