Dickinson set to seal Leeds move

Liam Dickinson
Dickinson has yet to play a game for Derby since joining them in July

Liam Dickinson's proposed loan move to Leeds United is likely to be revived following the Derby County striker's return to action after injury.

Dickinson was set to join the League One side on loan for the rest of the season at the end of February.

However the 23-year-old's move was put on hold because of an ankle injury.

But Dickinson completed 45 minutes of a behind-closed-doors friendly against Peterborough on Wednesday and Leeds are still keen on signing him.

The former Stockport County striker almost moved to Elland Road before the transfer window closed in January but the deal was not completed in time.

Dickinson was signed by former Rams manager Paul Jewell for 750,000 in July but was loaned out to Huddersfield at the start of the season.

He has also spent time on loan at Blackpool but has failed to work his way into the reckoning at Pride Park under Nigel Clough.
