Spurs have appointed their former player Gus Poyet as first-team coach under new boss Juande Ramos.
Poyet arrives from League One side Leeds United, where he was assistant to Dennis Wise, after a compensation package was agreed over the weekend.
The 39-year-old joins the club as one of two first-team coaches, alongside Marcos Alvarez, who worked with Ramos at former club Sevilla.
Poyet played at White Hart Lane for three seasons between 2001 and 2004.
A statement on the Leeds website on Monday said: "A compensation package has been agreed, the terms of which will remain confidential."
Ramos was confirmed as new Spurs head coach on Saturday, replacing Martin Jol who was sacked on Thursday.

The former Uruguay international also enjoyed a successful playing spell at Chelsea and Real Zaragoza and was an assistant manager to Wise at Swindon Town before moving to Leeds.
Leeds acting assistant manager Alan Thompson, who deputised for Poyet after it was agreed he would stay away from Saturday's match against Millwall, said: "Leeds United is a big club and you have to get on with it.
"Gus has got great experience, he's a great coach, so he will be missed, but I think he is replaceable and things move on."
An official Leeds statement read: "The club would like to thank Gus for his efforts over the past 12 months and wishes him every success in his new role.
"He leaves with the best wishes of everyone connected with the club."
