Leeds boss Dennis Wise has been given a three-match touchline ban and fined £5,000 for using abusive language towards referee Danny McDermid.
Wise's Leeds won the first seven games of the season
And McDermid has been charged by the Football Association after he allegedly swore at Wise.
The United manager confronted McDermid at half-time during Leeds' away match against Gillingham on 29 September.
Wise had a previous suspended one-match touchline ban invoked and a further two-match suspension issued.
"In reaching its decision, a Regulatory Commission hearing took into account Wise's poor recent disciplinary record," the FA confirmed in a statement.
Leeds had Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford sent off during the 1-1 draw, leaving Wise furious.
