Midfielder Eirik Bakke has headed back to Norway after agreeing a termination package to his contract with Leeds.
Bakke spent much of last season on loan at Villa
The 28-year-old has signed for Brann Bergen on a free transfer after coming to an agreement with Leeds.
Bakke was thought to be on wages of £23,000 per week and Leeds were reluctant to play him due to further financial implications.
Meanwhile, Leeds secured the services of Fulham keeper Tony Warner on loan until January.
