Leeds United have signed AC Milan's Brazilian international defender Roque Junior on a season-long loan.
Roque Junior, who was 27 on Sunday, was a member of Brazil's World Cup-winning squad in Japan in 2002.
Elland Road boss Peter Reid has been swift to step in following Bolton manager Sam Allardyce's failure to land the central defender.
But Leeds had to wait for a work permit to complete the deal and clearance arrived in time to be the closure of the transfer window on Monday.
The player has spent the last three years at the San Siro and won a Champions League winner's medal with the Rossoneri last season.
