Leeds' Bowyer hope
Liverpool are believed to be chasing Bowyer
Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale has not given up hope of persuading Lee Bowyer
to stay at Elland Road.
The club have put Bowyer on the transfer list after he rejected the offer of a lucrative five-year contract, believed to be worth in the region of £2m a year.
Liverpool are reportedly one of the club's chasing the £15m signature of the midfielder. But Ridsdale is to talk to Bowyer's advisor David Geiss over the next few days in the hope of changing the 25-year-old's mind. "I get on well with Lee's agent and will be speaking to him again this week," Ridsdale told the Yorkshire Post. "I'm not making any predictions, but you can never say never in this game."
