Radebe blow for Leeds
Radebe missed 11 games last sesaon through injury
Leeds United defender Lucas Radebe could miss the start of the season after injuring his right knee in training.
The South African international remained at home for treatment while the rest of the Leeds squad departed for Holland for Friday night's friendly against Sparta Rotterdam. Radebe, a former Leeds captain, missed 11 matches last sesaon when he had surgery on both of his knees. The injury is a setback for manager David O'Leary's preparations for the start of the new season. The Irishman is likely to be without record £18m signing Rio Ferdinand, who is nursing a hamstring injury. Ferdinand has not been included in the England squad for next week's friendly against Holland.
