Paatelainen says his players will need to get back to winning ways
Kilmarnock manager Mixu Paatelainen insisted his side will have to work hard to get back on track following their 5-0 thrashing by Aberdeen.
The Ayrshire side's form abandoned them at Pittodrie and the Killie boss was unhappy with the defensive failings.
"If you make mistakes like that at the back, obviously it's difficult to win the football match," said Paatelainen.
"I'm deeply disappointed with the performance today, especially for the travelling supporters."
Scott Vernon put the Dons ahead with a close-range finish and Sone Aluko doubled the hosts' advantage with his second goal of the week on 25 minutes.

Chris Maguire's penalty and Rory McArdle's header added to Josh Magennis's drive eight minutes from time to make for a miserable afternoon for the Finnish coach.
"We made very, very naive and stupid mistakes at the back," continued Paatelainen.
"I felt we started well, we put them on the back foot, we passed and created chances.
"It was very positive, but from there on, the way we defended and we weren't up to the standard.
"We made stupid mistakes and conceded five goals. They were farcical."
With visits due from basement side St Mirren and league leaders Celtic, Paatelainen insisted that his players will need to sharpen up if they are to remain in the top half of the Scottish Premier League.
"I said to the players that I don't tolerate it," said Paatelainen.
"Everybody has a bad day sometimes, and as a team, we had a bad day today.
"We didn't score, we conceded five goals. It was a poor, poor performance.
"But, we're fourth in the league - and the boys have done well. up until now, so we need to get back on the training ground and make sure next Saturday that we play better than that."
