Kilmarnock goalkeeper Cameron Bell hopes to make the most of a rare first team opportunity at the weekend.

The 23-year-old will step in for Mark Brown at Celtic Park, with the on-loan player ineligible under the terms of agreement between the clubs.

"The manager always tells me he looks for experience," the former Queen of the South keeper told BBC Scotland.

"It's hard to take sometimes but you just need to keep working hard in training and show him what you can do."

Bell earned praise from manager Jim Jefferies for his early season performances, as he covered for injured number one Alan Combe.

However, Jefferies opted to draft in Brown when it became clear Combe would be sidelined long-term with a hip problem.

"Obviously I was a bit frustrated when Mark came in," Bell said. "But the manager gave me his reasons, which I can't complain about.

"This is a great chance for me to get back in and play well for myself and the team."
