Killie net Celtic's Brown on loan

Kilmarnock have taken goalkeeper Mark Brown on loan from Celtic until mid-January as cover for their injured number one Alan Combe.

Combe has been ruled out of action for up to three months as he prepares to undergo surgery on a hip complaint.

"In Mark we have a player who has plenty of SPL experience," Killie boss Jim Jefferies told the club website.

"He has played in big games and will, along with Cameron Bell and Lee Robinson, provide cover for Alan."

Brown has been at Celtic since signing from Inverness in the summer of 2007.

However, he has struggled to make first-team appearances for the Glasgow club, deputising behind Artur Boruc, and now falling behind Lukasz Zaluska in the pecking order.
