Second-half goals from Paul Di Giacomo and Colin Nish gave Kilmarnock a friendly win over West Bromwich Albion.
Kilmarnock took a deserved lead early in the second half when Di Giacomo's shot took a deflection off Steve Watson
to wrong-foot Tomasz Kuszczak.
In the 67th minute Kilmarnock doubled their advantage as substitute Nish curled a shot beyond Kuszczak.
Kilmarnock endured had an nervy finish as West Brom substitute Martin Albrechtsen scored late on.
Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies said the win had encouraged him regarding his team's chances for the forthcoming SPL season.
"I thought James Fowler and Allan Johnston were terrific right from the start
of the game and Steven Naismith grew stronger as the game wore on," said Jefferies.
"But this performance gives us heart going into the start of the new season
and we'll compete quite well."
