Kilmarnock midfielder Steven Naismith will not get carried away with his success despite picking up his second SPL award of the season.
Steven Naismith has twice been young player of the month
The 19-year-old bagged three goals in four league games in January to earn the Bank of Scotland Premier League Young Player of the Month prize.
"To win the award a second time is brilliant," said Naismith.
"But there are plenty of people around at home and at the club who keep my feet on the ground."
Naismith previously claimed the award for August after a storming start to the season.
The teenager is revelling in his role on the left-side of midfield after playing alongside striker Kris Boyd at the start of the season.
"The first one is still on the fireplace, so everybody can see it when they come in the house," he said.
"When family and friends come in, my parents are always talking about it. So I am just delighted.
"But I haven't done much and I look at the guys who have achieved 10 times the stuff I've done.
"I just need to keep going and the players around me will help."
