Kilmarnock will not be pursuing Polish striker Pawel Buskiewicz as they search for a replacement for Kris Boyd.
Pawel Buskiewicz has represented his country
The 22-year-old, previously of Górnik Zabrze and Polonia Warszawa, played as a trialist in a reserve fixture with Motherwell on Tuesday.
But Killie boss Jim Jefferies told the Daily Record: "Pawel was a bit short of what we are looking for.
"It may now be the case that no one comes in up front."
Top-scorer Boyd was sold to Rangers but the Rugby Park club have continued to find the net regularly.
"A lot of people wondered how we'd cope with the loss of Boyd but the players have proved that there is life after him," added Jefferies.
"Colin Nish and Gary Wales have kicked on and we still have Paul Di Giacomo, Danny Invincible and Steven Naismith, so there is no desperate need for a replacement."
