Naismith takes young player award

Steven Naismith turned 19 last week
Kilmarnock striker Steven Naismith has been named Bank of Scotland young player of the month for August in the Scottish Premier League.

Naismith has scored two goals this season and been called up to the Scotland Under-21 squad.

He helped Killie end August unbeaten, playing in two league wins, a draw and a win in the CIS Insurance Cup.

Naismith, who turned 19 last week, is a product of Killie's youth system and broke into the first-team last term.
