Kettering Town boss Marcus Law talks up Tom Flanagan
Law hopes to retain Flanagan beyond 3 February
Kettering Town boss Marcus Law has credited Tom Flanagan and their other loanees with rejuvenating the team.
The 19-year-old has impressed in the Poppies' defence since his move from MK Dons, and scored one goal.
Law told BBC Radio Northampton: "Tom is going to be an exceptional player. He's been strong and he's certainly showing his worth.
"It's great because [the loanees] want to perform. When these lads are running everywhere, it rejuvenates others."
Dons' Charlie Collins, Coventry's Callum Wilson and Blackpool goalkeeper Mark Halstead are also on loan at Rockingham Road.
"Wilson is a constant menace because opponents have to look after him," added Law.
"There were a few moments [against Fleetwood Town] where he showed his magic, and we're just waiting for that little bit of end product."
Although the deals for all four players are set to expire in February, Law is confident that he can attract high-calibre youngsters to the club.
"I don't want to be caught where I'm filling my loan positions with youngsters who are just coming out of the youth teams," he said.
"I want lads on the cusp of first-team football. These boys need to know how important their decision-making is when [the matches] matter. It's a part of their education."
