Poppies boss Lee Harper slams 'irresponsible' players
Harper's team are 6th in the Blue Square Premier, outside the play-offs
Kettering Town player-manager Lee Harper says he will not tolerate more poor performances from his team.
His side lost 2-0 at home to Forest Green at the weekend, and have not won in four games.
Harper told BBC Radio Northampton: "Once they cross the white line, they've got to follow our instructions.
"We've told them we're in it together, but when you run out of players because they're all playing poorly, it's irresponsible. It won't be tolerated."
Harper denies that the possibility of Kettering not being allowed to play in the Blue Square Premier play-offs, as a result of their ground lease expiring, should have anything to do with the players' performances.
"We've told them that until anyone says we're not going to play in them, they should assume that we are," he said.
And the former Arsenal and Northampton Town goalkeeper says the players may not stay at the club if they do not improve in the remaining games of the season.
"Every player, except Darren Wrack and Damien Spencer, are not contracted to this club next year," said Harper.
"They should be going out there and trying to win contracts for here or somewhere else.
"They need to have a good look at themselves, because some of them are not going to be at the football club if they perform like that."
