Poppies prepare for Fulham clash

Imraan Ladak
Imraan Ladak is excited about his club's next FA Cup test

Kettering chairman Imraan Ladak has admitted that a fourth-round meeting with Fulham is likely to spell the end of his club's FA Cup campaign.

But he stressed that everyone connected with the Blue Square Premier outfit is excited at the prospect of tackling Premier League opposition.

"Realistically, when you are drawn against a top side you think that could be the end of your run," said Ladak.

"But we'll be at home so you never know," he told BBC Radio Northampton.

"Our players continue to surprise us time after time, and we're just really pleased and excited about this game."

The Poppies, who booked their place with a 2-1 victory over fellow non-league side Eastwood Town on Saturday, now await news of whether their fourth-round tie will be televised live.

"Obviously it's not just about money, but if it is a TV match it will make all the difference and really boost the club in everything we're trying to do," Ladak said.
