Poppies sign Potter in loan deal

Potter's FA Cup exploits at Havant brought him to national attention

Kettering Town have signed Peterborough United winger Alfie Potter on loan until the end of December.

The 19-year-old, who scored at Anfield in the FA Cup while on loan at Havant and Waterlooville last season, also had a spell at AFC Wimbledon.

He told the Poppies' website: "I just want to come here and play well, and prove to the fans I'm a good player."

His Kettering debut could come in the home friendly against Championship side Birmingham City on Sunday.

The Poppies drew 3-3 against Halesowen on Tuesday and lost 4-1 to League One Leicester City on Saturday.
