Jimmy Bullard future not tied to money

Ipswich Town midfielder Jimmy Bullard claims his future beyond this season will not come down to finance.

The 32-year-old Hull loanee earns a reported £45,000 week on his Tigers contract, which runs until 2013.

But the Londoner told BBC Radio Suffolk he does not believe his future will be dictated by money.

"Finances aren't everything I'm about, football's my main prerogative - hopefully I can give a positive answer at the end of the season," he said.

Bullard is enjoying a run in the Ipswich team following an injury-hit spell with Hull.

But the former Peterborough, Wigan and Fulham man admits to having split loyalties between Ipswich and Hull.

"I've enjoyed my time here but at the same time I owe a lot of respect to Hull," he said.

"I've still got two-and-a-half-years left on my contract there, I respect the contract they've given me.

"It's a bit difficult for me, I've never been on loan, so I feel for both clubs, I want Hull to do well as I do Ipswich.

"But at the minute I'm playing my football here and enjoying every minute of it."

Bullard has made five appearances for Town so far, scoring once.
