Ipswich Town goalkeeper Shane Supple has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, who had a loan spell at Oldham last season, is likely to remain as an understudy to Richard Wright.
But Supple, 22, told the club website he will continue to compete for a regular first-team place.
He said: "I want to play first-team football and I intend to put as much pressure on 'Wrighty' as I can."
He added: "I know he's a top goalkeeper and he proved that here last season but he knows I'll be after his shirt."
Ipswich remain silent on the offer of a contract to Liam Trotter.
The midfielder is the subject of interest from Scunthorpe United, but still has not indicated whether he has rejected the deal offered by Ipswich manager Roy Keane.
