Ipswich Town midfielder Sylvain Legwinski admits retirement is an option after failing to secure a new deal at Portman Road.
The 34-year-old started just nine games this season and was hampered by a metatarsal injury.
Legwinski told the club website: "There may be one or two clubs that might be interested or maybe it's the right time for me to retire from football."
The Frenchman is also mulling a return to play in his native country.
Legwinski spent five seasons at Fulham from 2001 to 2006 before moving to Ipswich where he made 51 appearances during his two years at the club, scoring seven goals.
