Naylor made just eight appearances for Ipswich last season
Ipswich Town defender Richard Naylor should return to training in July after undergoing neck surgery.
The 31-year-old suffered a slipped disc in November and returned to action two months later, his season then ended in March when he aggravated the problem.
Ipswich physio Matt Byard has told the club's website: "Richard is making exceptional progress.
"He is working hard and if he continues to improve then he should be back for the start of pre-season."
