Ipswich Town are closing in on the signings of former Cardiff goalkeeper Neil Alexander and ex-Sunderland midfielder Tommy Miller.
Former Scotland international Alexander, 29, and Miller, 28, were both released at the end of last season and are poised to move to Portman Road.
Boss Jim Magilton said: "We have agreed terms with Neil and he will be having a medical at the club on Monday.
"Tommy is also with us and he is set to undergo a medical as well."
Miller signed for the Suffolk club six years ago in a £800,000 deal from Hartlepool but moved to Sunderland in the summer of 2005.
He is out of contract after being released by the Black Cats and has chosen the Championship club following talks with several interested parties.
He scored 37 goals in 139 appearances for Town during his first spell there.
Alexander joined Cardiff from Livingston for £200,000 in 2001 and went on to make over 230 appearances for the Bluebirds.
He made his Scotland debut as a second half substitute in March 2006 in a 3-1 friendly defeat against Switzerland.
