Ipswich Town assistant manager Willie Donachie believes the club can bounce back from a recent stutter and claim automatic promotion to the Premiership.

Ipswich have gained just eight points from their last seven games and fallen out of the top two in the Championship.

"We would have taken the position we are in now if it had been offered to us at the start of the season," Donachie told the Ipswich website.

"But having got to here, we want to push on and finish in the top two."

He added: "Whatever happens though, I think the players have been terrific this season and it's been a great year.

"We know there are seven games to play and everyone of them is vital but we have to keep believing and if we do that, we have a great chance of making that top two finish."
