Counago wants to stay at Ipswich
Ipswich striker Pablo Counago
Counago joined Town from Celta Vigo in 2001
Ipswich striker Pablo Counago wants to stay at Portman Road despite being offered a free transfer.

The 25-year-old is the highest earner at the club on £20,000-a-week wages, and is out of contract in the summer.

But he was encouraged by the reception fans gave him when he came on against Bolton in Saturday's FA Cup defeat.

Counago said: "It is the feeling of being wanted that gives me a boost. I want to at least play a part in helping Ipswich get back into the Premiership."
