Ipswich manager Joe Royle was delighted with his side's 2-1 win against Newcastle and picked out keeper Kelvin Davis for special praise.
Royle told BBC Radio Suffolk: "He made three terrific close range saves, two in the first half from Alan Shearer and one in the second half.
"I'm delighted to win and I'm delighted with the sum of our football.
"But, we've just got to be that little bit tighter, that little bit more defensively aware."
