Ipswich boss Joe Royle believes Dean Bowditch's future could be as a deep-lying centre-forward.
The 18-year-old England Under-19 international has played on both flanks for Town, as well as in a central striking role, during his brief career.
"He has the pace and enough talent to play wide," Royle said.
"But I see his best position as down the middle, just off the main player in a similar role to the one Dennis Bergkamp operates in for Arsenal."
