Brescia deny Sereni link
Matteo Sereni
Sereni joined Ipswich from Sampdoria last year
Italian side Brescia have denied they want to sign Ipswich goalkeeper Matteo Sereni.

The Italian cost £4.5m last summer from Sampdoria but is now keen to return home after Ipswich were relegated from the Premiership.

"I want to go back to Italy," Sereni told Genoa newspaper Corriere Mercantile.

"To do that I'm willing to earn less money than now but hopefully Ipswich will ask less money."

But a Brescia spokesman said media reports in Italy linking the 27-year-old with them were incorrect.

"We don't need another goalkeeper as we already have three and are very satisfied with them," he said.
