Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed that striker Craig Dargo is being watched by several English clubs.
Craig Dargo scored the equaliser against Rangers on Saturday
Dargo becomes a free agent this summer and has yet to sign the new contract offered by Caley Thistle.
Inverness director of football Graeme Bennett said: "Nottingham Forest's name is being mentioned as looking at Craig.
"And there are a few English clubs who have expressed some level of interest.
But, as far as I'm aware, ours is the only firm offer he has."
The 29-year-old Dargo, who began his career with Raith Rovers, arrived at Caledonian Stadium from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2005.
He has scored 10 goals for the Scottish Premier League outfit this season.
The latest was a late equaliser against Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.
"We've offered the best we can and Craig's been honest enough to say he wants to wait and see what's available, as his next decision is a big one," said Bennett.
"He's weighing up his options."
