Jack Hobbs targets Premier League promotion with Tigers

Hobbs welcomes chance at Tigers

New Hull City signing Jack Hobbs said his ambition is to play Premier League football for the Tigers.

Hobbs joined the Tigers from Leicester City on a three year deal for an initial fee thought to be around £850,000 last week.

The 22-year-old former Liverpool defender made 13 appearances for Hull on loan last season.

He told BBC Look North: "I obviously know a lot of people here so it makes it easy."

Hobbs, who comes originally from Lincoln, added: "It's nice for my parents as it's not too far to come and see games, and my sister lives in Lincoln too.

"I enjoyed my time here at the end of last season and I'm really glad to have signed and be part of Hull City."

Hobbs was joined at the first day of pre-season training by fellow new signings Joe Dudgeon from Manchester United and the former Nottingham Forest pair of Paul McKenna and Dele Adebola.
