Hull City winger Jamie Devitt has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2012-2013 season.

The 20-year-old, who spent time on loan at Grimsby last season, has broken into the Tigers first-team this season.

Tigers assistant manager Craig Shakespeare told BBC Radio Humberside: "All the coaching staff think he has immense ability.

"He's got in the team and he's taken his chances."

He added: "With the ball he makes really good decisions and he's a player that's come in and kept his place initially but has to work on the other side of the game.

"Physically, he's quite a slight lad but I do feel he can improve in that area."

Meanwhile, striker Mark Cullen has gone out on loan to Bradford City to get some first-team experience.

The recent signings of Aaron McLean form Peterborough and Matty Fryatt from Leicester City mean Cullen has fallen down the pecking order at the KC Stadium.
