Hull City goalkeeper Matt Duke has had an operation to remove a testicular tumour that he recently discovered.
The 30-year-old is recuperating at home after having the surgery on 5 January and is awaiting test results this week.
Duke, who has been left out of the Tigers squad for the last two games, signed a new three-year deal in September which runs until June 2010.
He was first choice earlier this season ahead of Boaz Myhill but lost his place after getting injured.
Duke joined Hull in July 2004 from Burton Albion.
