Hull City manager Brian Little is facing a player exodus as the Third Division club battle for survival.

David Brightwell is poised to join rivals Darlington while a number of other players could quit Boothferry Park on free transfer in the next few days.

"The situation changes on almost a daily basis but as yet we have not got that 100 per cent guarantee the club is going to survive," said Little.

If players are made offers I would understand them taking the opportunity

"If other clubs come in for some of the players then who am I to stop them from going?

"If players are made offers I would understand them taking the opportunity which would make sure they were paid."

Gary Brabin, Justin Whittle, Theodore Whitmore and Ian Goodison are the other players linked with a move.

"In the end, most things are out of my control," said Little.

"All we are trying to do is focus on our training and the football match which we are playing on Saturday."

Hull went into administration last week after a High Court winding-up order issued by Customs and Excise and the Inland Revenue for payment of debts believed to total £1m.

They were given a 14-day reprieve to try and find someone to buy the club and secure Hull's long-term future.

Five consortiums have expressed an interest, with the deadline for submissions set for the end of the week.
