Huddersfield Town snap up Hull City's Kevin Kilbane
Kilbane has not missed a competitive international game this millennium
League One side Huddersfield Town have signed Republic of Ireland utility man Kevin Kilbane on loan for the rest of the season from Hull City.
Kilbane, the second most capped player for his country with 108 appearances, can play at left-back or in midfield.
The ex-Preston, West Brom, Sunderland, Everton and Wigan player, 33, has made 15 appearances for Hull this season.
Terriers boss Lee Clark told the club website: "He has a wealth of experience playing at the highest level."
He added: "Obviously we have a void to fill with the injury to Damien Johnson and Kevin has gained over a quarter of his international caps playing in central midfield.
"He has also played there for every one of his clubs, so although he is better known as a left-sided midfielder or defender he is such a good footballer and athlete that he performs that role extremely well."
Meanwhile, Huddersfield striker James Spencer, 19, has extended his loan spell at Morecambe until the end of the season.
