Terriers end interest in Sadler

Mat Sadler
Sadler joined Watford from Birmingham in January 2008

Huddersfield Town will not be making a bid for Watford left-back Mat Sadler.

The 24-year-old had been on a 10-day trial at the Galpharm Stadium with a view to a potential loan move.

Manager Lee Clark told the club's website: "It would have taken him a long time to reach our fitness levels - we need someone straight away.

"New players have to be better options than we already have, I will not bring players to the club who are at the same sort of level."
