Huddersfield Town captain Peter Clarke believes his side have the quality to win promotion from League One.
The 27-year-old defender has achieved promotion to the Championship before with his former club Southend United, who Town play on Saturday.
"I think there's every chance that we can be at the top end of the division and challenging for promotion," Clarke told BBC Radio Leeds.
"Hopefully we can get a good start and then we can carry that on from there."
Clarke is one of six summer signings manager Lee Clark has brought in to the club and has been chosen to captain the Terriers side.
"I'm thrilled to bits, its an honour and a privilege to captain any team you play for and it's no different coming here," he said.
"I may be a little bit older than one or two of the other lads hopefully I can pass my experience on to them and help them in any situation where they're not quite used to it. Hopefully I'll prove to be the right choice."
BBC Radio Leeds will have full match commentary of every single Huddersfield Town match on 92.4 FM.
