Histon striker Danny Wright has said he is ready to win back his first-team place back but is unlikely to return for Saturday's match against Salisbury.
Wright has missed the last three matches in the Blue Square Premier after he injured his ankle in training.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It is hugely frustrating for me as I was starting and playing well.
"I'm not going to walk straight back in because Jack Midson and Damian Reeves have both done a good job."
The 24-year-old had scored five goals before the injury and he hopes he can go on to beat last season's tally of 18.
"I feel I can better that this year, I've learnt a lot through Steve Fallon and John Beck," he said.
"They're still teaching me a lot now so I should be able to better last year and take us on to bigger and better things."
