Hibernian pick up double award

Colin Calderwood and Callum Booth have both received Clydesdale Bank Premier League monthly awards after Hibernian's turnaround in results during February.

Calderwood was voted manager of the month, while left-back Booth picked up the young player award.

Hibs won all four games in February, defeating Kilmarnock and Inverness while overcoming St Mirren twice.

Prior to that, Hibs had gone 12 games without a victory and suffered five defeats in a row.

That had even led to speculation about the future of 46-year-old Calderwood, who left his post as Newcastle United assistant to take over from the sacked John Hughes in October, at Easter Road.

The 19-year-old Booth has become a regular starter since returning from his loan spell with Second Division promotion hopefuls Brechin City in mid-January.

He scored twice during his spell at Glebe Park and grabbed his first goal for Hibs in a 2-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.
