Alistair Stevenson and Gareth Evans to guide Hibs

Hibernian first team coach Gareth Evans
Evans has served under the last three managers at Hibs

Gareth Evans and Alistair Stevenson are to take care of first team affairs at Hibernian as the club continue their search for a new manager.

Hibs are at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday and will be looking to register their first victory since the opening day of the season.

Evans was first team coach under John Hughes, who stood down on 4 October after 17 months in charge.

Stevenson is normally in charge of the Under-19 side at Easter Road.

Evans, a former striker with Hibs, has been on the coaching staff at the club since June 2007, while Stevenson steered the Under-19s to a league and Scottish Cup double in 2009.

MY SPORT: DEBATE

A host of names have been linked with the vacancy at Hibernian, with bookmakers' making former Scotland full-back Steve Clarke the overwhelming favourite to succeed Hughes.

Clarke, 47, has worked as an assistant manager at Newcastle, Chelsea and West Ham.

Scotland Under-21 boss Billy Stark has also featured prominently in the betting lists, along with Irish managers Pat Fenlon and Michael O'Neill.
