Riordan displays his recent scoring prowess

Hibernian forward Derek Riordan is attracting interest from a number of clubs in the UK and further afield.

German side Nuremberg are monitoring the 27-year-old, as are Swansea, Cardiff and teams in Asia.

Riordan has netted 15 goals this season, having been deployed in a role wide on the left most of the time.

He has 16 months to run on his Easter Road contract, having signed a three-year deal on his return to Hibs from Celtic in the summer of 2008.

Riordan, capped twice by Scotland, bagged 12 goals last term and scored 61 goals in his three seasons at Hibs before his ill-fated switch to Celtic.

In two years with the Glasgow giants, he was rarely used, scoring eight times from 32 appearances - mainly as a substitute.

Bundesliga outfit Nuremberg were among those competing for Riordan's signature when he left Celtic, along with Hibs' Edinburgh rivals Hearts and Leeds.
