Former Gretna forward Fabian Yantorno is stepping up his efforts to earn a contract with Hibernian.
The 25-year-old will feature in the pre-season friendly against Cowdenbeath at Central Park on Monday.
The Uruguayan suffered a serious knee injury in January and Gretna ended his contract shortly afterwards when they went into administration.
Hibs manager Mixu Paatelainen said he was happy to give Yantorno a chance to impress at Easter Road.
Paatelainen offered Yantorno the use of the club's facilities to assist his rehabilitation and he is now fit enough to play some part of the match against Cowdenbeath.
Yantorno was Gretna's top performer in the first half of last season, scoring four goals after arriving from Uruguayan First Division outfit Miramar Misiones the previous summer.
