Craig has seen Hibs struggle for form over the last three months
|
Hibernian caretaker boss Tommy Craig refuted suggestions that the absence of a manager had a bearing on the dismal 2-1 home defeat to Rangers.
"I don't think so because this is typical of our recent form going back six or seven weeks," he said.
"We have been drawing games we could have won. We've lost three, drawn seven and won one.
"Three defeats and seven draws doesn't sound that bad but seven points from 30 is not good either."
Asked about his own future in the hot seat, the assistant to former manager John Collins added: "I haven't even thought about it."
His chances of landing the job were not enhanced by a poor display from the home side.
Hibs looked nervous at the back, created little in midfield and posed no attacking threat until Merouane Zemmama powered in a late goal.
"It was a pretty emphatic win for Rangers, we were not at the races," added Craig.
"2-1 doesn't really tell the full story of the game."
