Collins delighted after Ibrox win

Collins was delighted with Hibernian's display at Ibrox
Hibernian manager John Collins was brimming with pride after watching his side take maximum points at Rangers.

"What a performance," he told BBC Sport after the 1-0 win. "Every one of my players showed great bravery out there.

"There are two ways to play at Ibrox; you can hide and get and battering or you can take the ball to them and that's what we did.

"It's nice to be top of the league and we'll take the plaudits but we are not getting carried away."

Hibs have made a wonderful start to the season, winning six and drawing three to sit two points clear of Celtic, who visit Gretna on Sunday.

But Collins was cagey when asked if the Edinburgh side could keep up their fine form.

"Nothing in life is impossible but we have to be realistic," he added.

"We are only nine games in and we need to keep the hard work going."

Teenage midfielder Ross Chisholm caught the eye with a tenacious display in midfield.

And the 19-year-old passed the ball with great composure, as did most of his team-mates.

"Ross always wants the ball and he has great self-belief," said Collins. "His passing was good and he makes good angles for us."
