Hereford United have confirmed coaches Dave Kevan and Russell Hoult are to remain at Edgar Street after agreeing new contracts.

Hoult, 38, was originally goalkeeping coach but has since become manager Jamie Pitman's assistant.

Kevan, 42, was brought in as first team coach after his predecessor Lennie Lawrence left for Crystal Palace.

Additionally, midfielder Rob Purdie has verbally agreed a new contract which he is expected to sign soon.

Chairman David Keyte also revealed that talks are at an advanced stage with an unnamed striker but the player is currently away on holiday and so the deal is unlikely to be finalised until the end of the month.

Meanwhile the Bulls have announced that Premier League club Bolton Wanderers are to visit Edgar Street for a pre-season friendly on Monday, 1 August.

The Trotters manager Owen Coyle has promised to bring a full first team squad for the match which will form part of manager Jamie Pitman's benefit season.
