Sam Hewson was the skipper of the Manchester United youth team
Hereford United manager Graham Turner has made his first moves of the January transfer window.
The Bulls have brought in Manchester United's young midfielder Sam Hewson.
And they have also extended loan deals for Bristol Rovers striker Andy Williams, 22, and Carlisle United defender Josh Gowling, 23.
Hereford-born Williams, who came back on loan in September, has agreed a deal to return to his former home at Edgar Street for the rest of the season.
Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "We think extending Andy's loan for another six months suits all parties.
"He's still got another year on his contract and he's still very much a Bristol Rovers player. We just felt his chances might be limited at the moment."
Meanwhile, three players have ended their loan spells at Edgar Street.
Liverpool defender Robbie Threlfall, Watford striker Moses Ashikodi and Charlton Athletic keeper Darren Randolph have returned to their clubs.
Threlfall played only three league games in an injury-hit second loan spell with the Bulls. But he could also be back in action quickly as he is expected to go straight out on loan again to Stockport County.
Josh Gowling has done well in his five games for the Bulls so far
Ashikodi also suffered an injury-hit time at Edgar Street, making just four league starts in four months.
As for Randolph, he has now officially returned to Charlton, having not appeared for Hereford since he refused to play in the FA Cup tie against Dagenham & Redbridge at the start of November.
He was reported to have been annoyed that the Bulls were about to sign Matt Murray on loan from Wolves.
Centre-back Gowling has done well in a Bulls shirt since making his debut in Hereford's first away win of the campaign, at Colchester in early December.
Hewson, 20, has yet to play league football, but has impressed in the United reserve side and was handed a Premier League squad number (33) at the beginning of the 2008/09 campaign.
