Defender Jackson joins the Bulls

Jackson began his career as a trainee at Scarborough

Hereford United have confirmed the signing of the former Derby and Luton defender Richard Jackson.

The player has been able to join the Bulls immediately as he was a free agent and was not affected by the transfer window regulations.

Jackson, 28, left Luton Town last month and has signed a one-year contract at Edgar Street.

He is likely to be added to the squad for Friday night's League One home match against Swindon Town.
