Injury relief for striker Mole

Hearts striker Jamie Mole
Mole was injured during training and taken to hospital this week

Hearts striker Jamie Mole could be fit to face Rangers in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off after fears were allayed that he had a broken foot.

The 20-year-old had been taken to hospital for an x-ray after picking up an injury during training.

But he told the Scottish Premier League club's website: "It's just bruising to my big toe, which is good news.

"It's a little sore, but the Rangers game is still a couple of days away, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed."

Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo was facing the prospect of going into the Rangers game with Christian Nade as his only fit striker.

Midfielder Laryea Kingston has also declared himself 100% fit for the side sitting third in the Scottish Premier League after missing five games with a torn thigh muscle.

Until I speak to a specialist, I won't have any idea how long I might be out, but I have no doubt in my mind that I can score goals for Hearts

Hearts striker Mike Tullberg

A similar problem has been affecting striker Mike Tullberg and the Dane has vowed to overcome the injury nightmare that has plagued his loan spell at Tynecastle.

Tullberg has managed just two appearances since arriving from Serie A side Reggina in the summer.

He is unsure how long he will be out of action after suffering a setback in his bid to regain full fitness and is hoping to see a specialist as soon as possible.

"This is one of the most frustrating times of my short career in football, particularly as I hadn't been injured before coming to Hearts," he said.

"At the beginning, I thought it was only going to be two or three weeks out, but it's been a long, long time now.

"I just want to get back into the team. The manager is such a good person and I feel like I owe him something.

"There are many other good people around the club and I just want to help the team as much as possible."

Tullberg also praised the Edinburgh club's supporters.

"I have been receiving messages of encouragement from many fans, which has been nice," he added.

"More than anything in the world, I want to show the fans what I can do and score goals for Hearts.

"It's the worst start I could have had at a new club, but I'm determined to get back fit.

"Until I speak to a specialist, I won't have any idea how long I might be out, but I have no doubt in my mind that I can score goals for Hearts.

"First of all, though, I must get over this injury."
